My name is Dana Gallea. I was raised by wonderful parents who taught me that dogs are included as a member of a family. I began to take interest in dog training as a child, and have been passionately training dogs ever since!
As a Head Trainer for K9 Principles, I have the pleasure of overseeing and teaching the obedience classes at the Hamilton Burlington SPCA, and in addition, I provide in home private lessons. I have trained and prepared dogs for licensing as a Service Dog. Training Service Dogs has been an absolute joy. Teaching dogs, and molding them into the ideal Service Dog for someone that depends on them is an incredible feeling! Kelly Robbins as my mentor has taken my training abilities to an entire new level. I cannot thank Kelly enough for all her continued support and knowledge!
I have fostered and trained a beautiful Argentine DoGo named Lilah for the Aarf Rescue. Because Lilah is deaf ,I trained her using sign language and readied her for adoption. Lilah is now living a wonderful life with her new family!
Mr. Maverick... he is a Doberman cross who also came to me for help from the Aarf Rescue. This guy had a rough start to life and had absolutely no training. Maverick was quite the wild child when he first came to me. He would jump and bite at my arm in excitement. I was warned that Maverick would not be an easy case and that I would have my work cut out for me. After a tremendous amount of work, and patience, Maverick has manners and has been adopted to his forever home!
I believe that teaching dogs/puppies basic obedience creates a stronger relationship and lifestyle for both you and your pet!
